I would suggest a full body mirror in the bedroom and more light in the toilet.

Loved the sky pool and location to beach and restaurants and bars.. very lively location but the hotel was very relaxing

I've stayed in a lot of hotels as I travel for work so I have some experience. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in. Everything is of a high quality. The Staff are the best thing about this hotel, super friendly and genuine. I see them through the day dealing with some difficult customers and they still stay so positive. If you're polite and friendly, you can have some really good chats with everyone. Everyone here has great english! The facilities are ridiculously good, fantastic 24 hour gym and pool. the food is incredible at both restaurants and the spa is amazing.

There is nothing bad I could say about the hotel, or the staff or the facilities. Some of the guests are a bit rude but that's life haha.

The location is super convenient for us as it's just opposite Kuta Beach, just a short walk from Beachwalk Mall and with stunning sunset views from our room. This is our 2nd time staying at Mamaka and we enjoyed it just like the 1st time. The breakfast options at the Rooftop Bar are simply amazing. This time, they'd opened a spa, Kupu-Kupu Spa where the therapists who did foot reflexology and mani pedi, especially Ari was awesome! On the whole, the staff were friendly, responsive and helpful when it came to all our requests. Best part is there's complimentary washer dryers for use, which is great as we're a family of 5.

There was a blackout and leak in our room on our 2nd night there when it rained heavily. Upon request, they managed to move us to another suite (on another level) after a day.

Very good location, nice sized and modern design rooms this hotel offers a lot. The roof bar and breakfast bar downstairs are both great and have very good food options. Gym is also pretty big and offers free classes for their guest. Free laundry option is really a big plus too. Well done

We could not fix the air conditioning in the room on the desired temperature. After a few minutes it was back to 21 degrees which is very cold compared to outside.

I very much enjoyed my stay earlier this week. I have to single out the staff as a real plus point for this hotel. I often find (certainly in Bali) that hotel staff whilst smiley and pleasant all seem to have learnt their questions and responses at the same tourism school. It's well meant but not really sincere. Also, anything out of the ordinary or off-script sends them in to a bit of a panic. Then at 5 star plus hotels it becomes a bit too obsequious and much more of highly trained servant approach - just not my style. Here, at Mamaka, they have really hit the right balance. The staff were really friendly in a genuine way. I had a great chat with one of the bar staff for 30 minutes and it was just liking talking with a new friend rather than a staff member who feels under pressure to give the right answer to every question. I met the person who is managing the cocktail menu - she knows her stuff and was very passionate about the bar. I, accidentally, put one young lad on the spot by asking about a coffee product (pink goat coffee!) in front of his boss. He handled it really well. I had a tour of the unfinished rooms and rooftop (the hotel is still conducting a refurb) by a team member and they did a great job as well….day club and rooftop cinema to come. The room was nicely decorated, they’ve used some decent materials and I like the wallpaper. Its only just gone under a refurb so of course everything looked like new. Two bugbears of mine were, thankfully, missing: there is a master light switch by the bed! No wandering around a room pressing various light switches and unplugging lamps when you want to go to sleep. Power points - lots of them. I stayed in a hotel in Seminyak two weeks before Mamaka and to charge three devices overnight had to unplug the kettle and move a bedside table. Not a problem here. Food. Breakfast (off menu not a buffet) was decent. I liked the cart of juice combos they send around. Had a green one - tasted good to me.

Couple of points for the management team. These are minor niggles. - An issue with the app-based food ordering. Was resolved by the staff easily enough (good staff there, no panicked faces!). New system, might need a bit more testing? - Social media for WiFi access. Had to get reception to look at this as initially it wanted Facebook or Instagram to log in. I have neither. All I want is a password and no advertising. - Some of the food. I loved the Bao Buns (see above) but when ordering a room service burger…I just want a burger. I think you should add a normal one or two to the list. Chicken one had kimchee in it - just became a slimy mess. Trying a bit too hard maybe?
